The 2,605-acre watershed is in Tisbury, West Tisbury and a small area of Oak Bluffs.
The pond has an area of 269 acres, a mean depth of 4.3 feet, and a tidal range of 2.0 feet. The MVC categorized this pond as Impaired. Eelgrass is present but declining. Total organic nitrogen load is high and there is reduced transparency at the south end. There is no real bay scallop harvest.
