Cape and Islands

The MVC works with its sister agencies – the Cape Cod Commission (CCC) and the Nantucket Planning and Economic Development Commission (NP&EDC) – to better coordinate planning in the overall region. The MVC works closely with the CCC on water quality issues, including oversight of the Cape Cod and Islands Water Protection Fund. 

Massachusetts

The MVC is one of 13 members of the Massachusetts Association of Regional Planning Agencies (MARPA). At its monthly all-day meetings, the executive directors of these agencies coordinate efforts to improve planning, interaction with state agencies, and technical services; and to promote funding and legislation that benefit the regions. These meetings also provide an opportunity for policy briefings and interaction with state officials.
