COMMITTEES

The MVC uses a number of standing and ad hoc committees to further the work of the Commission.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

This committee is made up of the Chair, Vice-Chair, Clerk-Treasurer and Chairs of LUPC and PED. It usually meets on the third Thursday of the month, at 6:15 p.m.

LAND USE PLANNING COMMITTEE (LUPC)

This committee plays a role in the review of Developments of Regional Impact. It meets most Mondays at 5:30 p.m.

PLANNING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

This committee works on ongoing planning and economic development issues. It usually meets on the first Thursday of the month, at 6:00 p.m.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

This committee meets in December and January to help prepare the Commission's annual budget.

PROCESS AND PROCEDURES COMMITTEE

This committee meets as needed to deal with the Commission's regulations and by-laws and other procedural issues.
