Martha's Vineyard Commission

The Martha's Vineyard Commission (MVC) is the regional planning agency for Martha’s Vineyard Island and the Elizabeth Islands (together, comprising the County of Dukes County).

The mission of the MVC is twofold: (1.) To assist our region’s 7 towns (Aquinnah, Chilmark, Edgartown, Gosnold, Oak Bluffs, Tisbury, & West Tisbury) with planning expertise; and (2.) Protect and enhance the islands’ environment, economy, character, and social fabric.

The MVC Office is closed to the public. Staff are working remotely.  Staff contact information can be found here, or call (508) 693-3453 x110 and leave a message.

During this time, meetings with staff and other committee meetings will be held via Zoom.  Review this document for instructions on How to Join a Zoom Meeting.

COVID-19 Business Survey

The MVC has created a survey for local business owners to help assess COVID-19's impacts to our Island community. This survey asks whether businesses have access to the federal stimulus information, if the resources are effectively getting to our local business community, and if the stimulus package is adequately meeting your needs. The information will be used to advocate for additional resources to help now and in the coming months.

Individual responses will be kept confidential. A report of the findings will be posted on our website by the end of June.
